Denise Katherine Matthews (January 4, 1959 – February 15, 2016), known professionally as Vanity, was a Canadian singer, songwriter, dancer, model, and actress. Known for her image as a sex symbol in the 1980s, in the 1990s she renounced her career as Vanity and became an evangelist.

She was the lead singer of the female trio Vanity 6, created by the musician Prince. Known for their 1982 hit song "Nasty Girl", they disbanded in 1983 when Vanity embarked on a solo career. She released two solo albums on the Motown Records label, Wild Animal and Skin on Skin, and had three minor hit singles. As an actress, she starred in the films The Last Dragon (1985), 52 Pick-Up (1986), Never Too Young to Die (1986), and Action Jackson (1988).

After years of drug abuse causing kidney problems, Matthews became a born-again Christian in 1992 and later devoted herself to her church in Fremont, California. Matthews died of kidney failure on February 15, 2016, aged 57.

Ήταν γνωστός ως ανανεωτής για τις πολυσύνθετές μουσικές συνθέσεις του, την εκκεντρική και φανταχτερή σκηνική παρουσία του, την ευρεία φωνητική του γκάμα και την ικανότητά του να παίζει ποικίλα μουσικά όργανα. Το 2000, όταν και έληξε το συμβόλαιό του με την Warner Bros, αποφάσισε να χρησιμοποιεί και πάλι το όνομα "Prince".

Μεταξύ άλλων, ο Prince είχε αποσπάσει συνολικά 7 Βραβεία Grammy, έχοντας 38 υποψηφιότητες, 4 MTV Video Music Awards και 1 Βραβείο Όσκαρ για την μουσική της ταινίας Purple Rain, όπου και πρωταγωνίστησε το 1984.

Ο Prince είχε τεράστιο φωνητικό εύρος (E2-B6), κάτι που τον έχει κατατάξει 3ο στους καλλιτέχνες με το μεγαλύτερο εύρος φωνής στον κόσμο, μετά τον Αξλ Ρόουζ, και την Μαράια Κάρεϊ. Nikki Sixx (born Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr.; December 11, 1958) is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, author, photographer, and radio personality, best known as the co-founder, bassist, primary songwriter, and only constant member of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Prior to forming Mötley Crüe, Sixx was a member of Sister before going on to form London with his Sister bandmate Lizzie Grey. In 2000, he formed side project group 58 with Dave Darling, Steve Gibb and Bucket Baker, issuing one album, Diet for a New America. Also in 2002, he formed the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns. Formed in 2006, initially to record an audio accompaniment to Sixx's autobiography The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, his side band Sixx:A.M. featured songwriter, producer, and vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba.

Sixx has also worked as a songwriter and/or producer for a number of artists and groups, such as Sex Pistols' guitarist Steve Jones, Lita Ford, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Marion Raven, Drowning Pool, Saliva, and The Last Vegas, among others.

Sixx launched the clothing line "Royal Underground" in 2006 with Kelly Gray, formerly the co-president and house model of St. John. Initially the label concentrated on men's clothing before expanding into women's apparel. In 2010, Premiere Radio Networks launched the nationally syndicated rock/alternative music radio programs Sixx Sense and The Side Show Countdown, both of which were based in Dallas, Texas and hosted by Sixx and Jenn Marino.
